The Golden Gate ATR GTX WMN is the perfect shoe for medium to long distance runs on mixed terrain, including off-road as well as paved surfaces. The Goretex membrane makes the shoe waterproof. This model is well suited to female athletes of any weight and experience level, who are looking for a reliable and comfortable shoe for their daily training. An extremely versatile road-to-trail transitional shoe in the world of trail running. This shoe has a very precise fit, we recommend one size up from the usual SCARPA sizes if you want a comfortable fit.
Upper
In a light, breathable and resistant fabric. Collar and tongue are even more comfortable thanks to the internal padding, while the structural wave closure system that characterise the design of the shoe also guarantee an optimal fit.
Lining
GORE-TEX Invisible Fit for a waterproof shoe without compromising on fit, flexibility and weight. Bonded directly to the upper, the lightweight construction is engineered to be invisible, creating a mesh-like comfort feel.
Insole
The "i-Respond" propulsion system enhances the thrust phase, amplifying energy input with greater energy return.
Sole
PRESA® TRN-02 sole made with high performance rubber outsole, with 4 mm lugs and excellent grip on both dry and wet surfaces. Tested by the best and brought to the limit on technical and uneven terrain.

Technologies
Gore-Tex®
Gore-Tex® fabrics offer long-lasting, comfortable weather protection. The technology is based on an extremely thin membrane made of expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE). Its pores are too small for rain to penetrate, yet big enough for perspiration to pass right through. Gore-Tex® products have a high waterproof rating (water column) and can withstand up to 28,000 mm of water pressure – more than monsoon rain. The membrane is bonded between an outer fabric and a high-performance lining. Depending on the construction, the result is either a 2-layer, 2.5-layer or 3-layer laminate. Gore-Tex® in a 3-layer construction offers a combination of enhanced durability and high breathability, while the 2-layer laminate provides lightweight weather protection.
PRESA
PRESA® is SCARPA’s proprietary outsole brand, born out of 80+ years of technical outsole design experience, to deliver the best traction solutions available. IKS technology features seven internal impact absorption “domes” in the outsole and midsole that function just like shock absorbers, compressing upon impact to absorb energy. The impact zones are anatomically mapped to provide additional shock exactly where it is needed the most, while maintained stability outside those zones. The midsole material itself is dual-density EVA, providing additional lightweight shock absorption. Incorporated into the midsole is a Dynamic Stabilizer Torsion frame made of TPU (thermoplastic urethane). The DST frame wraps under the arch and extends back along both sides of the heel, for outstanding rearfoot stability and torsion control. The lug design of the outsole provides confidence-inspiring traction via 4mm deep lugs and SuperGum rubber compound, which balances high friction with durability.
Exo
Upper construction system designed and developed by Scarpa. Lateral protections (insert or thermowelded cage) combined with upper, create an exoskleton that better protect, support and contain the foot.
